I am a Jersey girl, though folks from the garden state don’t call it Jersey. I grew up on a small lake, and often tell people we were outside so much that I don’t even know how to play checkers.
I went to Syracuse University to study art. There I fell in love with computer graphic design and learned to despise the cold. Once I graduated with a BFA in Fine Art, and returned home to NJ, I began designing graphics for television and small video productions. I met my husband, and after the horrible winter of 1996 we moved to Atlanta.
I was lucky to have worked for The Home Depot for over 9 years in their televison studio. I loved my job, but loved being a Mom more. When we were expecting our 3rd son, I left corporate TV and chose fulltime Mom, part time designer. I have stayed very busy for now we have four boys! I also took classes in HTML, and Dreamweaver. I continued to design logos, websites, and PTA newsletters. I began to utilize social media to promote my design business. One day at my oldest son's baseball game I started talking about twitter with another Mom aka Olivia. The spark of Gotogrls.com was ignited.
I am very excited to help others utilize social media for their businesses.
